Have you ever suddenly and inexplicably had the urge for a really good curry? You just have to get your chops around some creamy Chicken Tikka Masala, delve into some Keema naan, pile on some Okra do piazza and top it off with some Aloo Gobi, all swilled down by a large Kingfisher. This dream was all but fulfilled apart from swapping a Maharaja for the Kingfisher at Rotee in the Haight. Simple decor and groovy beats are the backdrop for this perfect little neighborhood Indian / Pakistani restaurant and very kind on the wallet to boot ($10 entrees). The owner is planning to open a third Rotee in the fall in SOMA so watch out for that one. In the meantime, put Rotee on your list for curry spots and make sure to take your time when you get there!
